Atishi: AAP Unfazed by Threats, Condemns BJP Over Investigative Agency Raids.

Ms. Lekhi praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a role model for Mr. Kejriwal, citing an instance during his tenure as Gujarat Chief Minister where he allegedly spent 12 hours answering questions.

Atishi, AAP, BJP, investigative agency raids

Today, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Delhi minister Atishi strongly criticized the Enforcement Directorate (ED) raids conducted at the homes of party members. She accused the BJP-led Centre of attempting to intimidate and silence the party through the use of investigative agencies.

The ED carried out searches at the premises of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's personal assistant, Bibhav Kumar, and others. These raids are part of an investigation into allegations that funds obtained through "irregularities" in the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) tendering process were transferred as election funds to the AAP.

"Atishi: Yesterday, I announced on Twitter that I would reveal significant information about the ED today. In retaliation, the ED has commenced raids on the residences of individuals associated with the Aam Aadmi Party since 7 am this morning," Atishi stated.

"This is the BJP's strategy to intimidate the AAP and silence its leaders in an attempt to stifle dissent. To the BJP, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and their agencies, I want to make it clear that the AAP will not be intimidated by their tactics," she emphasized.

Atishi asserted that despite a two-year investigation, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has failed to uncover any evidence.

"For the past two years, AAP leaders have faced constant threats like this. Under the guise of the 'liquor scam', investigative agencies such as the CBI and ED have frequently raided AAP leaders in Delhi. However, despite these prolonged investigations, the ED has not managed to unearth any incriminating evidence," she stated.

She recalled instances where numerous accused, witnesses, and government witnesses have come forward, revealing that they were pressured into providing their statements.

Bharatiya Janata Party Criticizes Aam Aadmi Party Harshly

Union Minister and BJP MP Meenakshi Lekhi launched a scathing critique of the AAP and its leader, Mr. Kejriwal, escalating the ongoing conflict between the two parties regarding alleged corruption related to the city's liquor excise policy and water development authority.

In her impassioned speech, Ms. Lekhi held Prime Minister Narendra Modi as an example for Mr. Kejriwal to emulate, highlighting PM Modi's past experience of facing questions for 12 hours during the investigation into the 2002 Gujarat riots.

Ms. Lekhi emphasized the importance of facing challenges directly, contrasting it with what she described as the drama and corruption allegedly associated with Kejriwal's leadership.

The Union Minister's criticism arises amidst the ongoing confrontation between Delhi Chief Minister Kejriwal and his AAP party, and the Enforcement Directorate. The ED has summoned Mr. Kejriwal five times for questioning regarding the liquor policy case, which he has chosen to skip. This defiance potentially puts him at risk of arrest by the central agency.

Ms. Lekhi also criticized alleged instances of corruption and money laundering within the Delhi Jal Board, which resulted in the recent arrest of two individuals—a retired chief engineer and a contractor. Furthermore, she highlighted the arrests of three senior AAP leaders in connection with various cases: former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, former Health Minister Satyendra Jain, and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh.

Delhi's governance model is in a critical state... the excise policy scandal is one of the most significant scams imaginable. And now, while the Chief Minister is evading ED summons, yet another scandal has come to light," she remarked.

And just yesterday, the Delhi High Court discovered that a false affidavit was submitted... It pertains to remarks concerning procurement procedures. The audit report revealed that central procurement processes were in violation of the law, and the drugs procured were found to be substandard and not in compliance with regulations...
