It's worth noting that MorningSuntime was the first media outlet to break the news about the launch of the new Hyundai Creta facelift in 2024. Prospective buyers can reserve the SUV either at any Hyundai dealership or conveniently through Hyundai's Click To Buy online platform.
Originally introduced in India in July 2015, the Hyundai Creta has gained immense popularity, with every third mid-size SUV sold in the country now being a Hyundai Creta. The SUV has achieved remarkable success, with over 950,000 units sold in the domestic market to date.
The 2024 Creta facelift embodies Hyundai's global design theme, 'Sensuous Sportiness.' Notably, the SUV showcases a revamped grille complemented by redesigned quad-beam LED headlamps, featuring new LED positioning lamps and a connected LED strip linking the daytime running lights (DRLs). The rear of the vehicle mirrors the front design, with connected taillights. Both front and rear bumpers have undergone a redesign, and new alloy wheels contribute to a thoroughly updated exterior.
Inside the cabin, significant changes are evident, particularly on the dashboard. Notably, the integration of an infotainment screen and digital instrument cluster stands out. The dash now hosts a new touch display for HVAC functions, enhancing the overall premium feel. The Creta facelift also introduces a redesigned steering wheel. Safety-wise, the SUV comes standard with six airbags, while the top-tier variants boast an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS). These updates collectively contribute to a refreshed and modernized appearance for the popular Creta model.
The 2024 Creta facelift by Hyundai comes with a variety of color choices, offering six mono-tone options: Atlas White, Abyss Black, Titan Grey, Ranger Khaki, Fiery Red, and the new Robust Emerald Pearl. Additionally, there's a dual-tone option featuring Atlas White with a Black Roof. The revamped Creta is accessible in seven different trims: E, EX, S, S(O), SX, SX Tech, and SX(O).
In terms of engines, the 2024 Hyundai Creta provides three choices. The turbo petrol option returns with the 1.5-litre Kappa Turbo GDi petrol unit, delivering 160PS and 253Nm. This engine is shared with the 2023 Kia Seltos facelift. Additionally, there are options for a 1.5-litre MPi petrol engine producing 115PS and 144Nm, and a 1.5-litre U2 CRDi diesel engine with 116PS and 250Nm. These engine options cater to diverse preferences and ensure a range of performance capabilities for potential buyers.
The updated Hyundai Creta offers four transmission choices: a 6-speed manual, intelligent variable transmission (IVT), 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT), and 6-speed automatic transmission (AT).
Set to compete with rivals like the Kia Seltos facelift, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, and the upcoming Tata Curvv, the 2024 Hyundai Creta facelift is expected to be priced between Rs 11 lakh and Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom). This range accommodates a variety of budgets and positions the Creta as a competitive option in the market.
