Hrithik Deepika Fighter release advanced booking update: The movie's Hindi 2D screenings have sold 66,459 tickets, while the 3D shows have recorded 87,569 ticket sales.
The much-anticipated movie 'Fighter,' starring Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone in a thrilling aerial action film, has garnered tremendous attention with its remarkable advance bookings. As of Tuesday, the film has successfully sold an impressive 1,63,933 tickets through 11,651 shows, accumulating a significant revenue of Rs 5.17 crore for its first-day bookings. Notably, the Hindi 2D screenings secured 66,459 ticket sales, while the 3D shows saw an outstanding 87,569 tickets being sold.
As of Tuesday, the Hindi IMAX 3D shows of the movie 'Fighter' secured a total of 7,432 ticket sales, while the 4DX 3D shows recorded 2,473 tickets sold. The film's theatre occupancy is significantly contributed to by key regions including Delhi, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Telangana, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, Punjab, Odisha, and Madhya Pradesh, as reported by the film trade portal Sacnilk.
As of Tuesday, the movie 'Fighter' managed to sell approximately 74,000 tickets across national cinema chains. However, this falls short in comparison to Shah Rukh Khan's recent film 'Dunki,' as noted by film critic and trade analyst Nishit Shaw.
According to a post on X (formerly Twitter), Nishit Shaw mentioned that '#Fighter' has sold around 74,000 tickets at national chains with one day remaining. In comparison, '#Dunki' had achieved approximately 152,000 ticket sales at this point in its advance booking. Shaw also noted that the final advance booking for '#Dunki' closed at 226,000 tickets, while '#Fighter' is expected to conclude between 120,000 to 135,000 tickets at national chains.
On its second day, the movie managed to sell a total of 98,216 tickets through 8,408 shows, accumulating approximately Rs 3.25 crore as of Tuesday. Notably, the Hindi 2D screenings secured 40,817 ticket sales, while the 3D shows recorded an impressive 49,409 tickets sold.
As of Tuesday, 'Fighter's Hindi IMAX 3D shows secured a total of 6,561 ticket sales, while the 4DX 3D shows recorded 1,429 tickets sold. Noteworthy regions such as Delhi, Maharashtra, Karnataka, West Bengal, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, and Odisha play a significant role in contributing to the film's advance bookings for its second day.
Under the direction of Siddharth Anand, 'Fighter' is an engaging aerial action film. Judging from its trailer, the movie centers around the significant events of the 2019 Pulwama attacks and the subsequent Balakot Air Strike carried out by the Indian Air Force (IAF). The star-studded cast includes Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, and Anil Kapoor in prominent roles.
Additionally, 'Fighter' boasts a supporting cast including Karan Singh Grover, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Akshay Oberoi, Talat Aziz, and Ashutosh Rana. The movie is scheduled for a global theatrical release on January 25, one day before Republic Day in 2024.
