Expressing shock and solidarity with those affected, Jr NTR decided to return to India. The earthquakes have caused widespread damage, and the actor, along with many others, prioritized the well-being of the affected people over his vacation plans. His decision to show support and concern for the earthquake victims reflects a sense of responsibility and empathy during challenging times.

A traffic jam ensued in Japan's Ishikawa Prefecture as a result of a series of powerful earthquakes that struck western Japan, leading to road damage and collapse. The seismic activity disrupted normal traffic flow, trapping vehicles in the affected areas. The situation highlights the immediate challenges faced by the local residents and travelers due to the earthquakes, impacting transportation and creating additional difficulties for those navigating the region. The aftermath of the earthquakes is evident in the compromised infrastructure and the efforts required to address the resulting disruptions.


Telugu film actor, Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao Jr., popularly known as Jr NTR or Tarak, was on a family vacation in Japan when a series of powerful earthquakes, with magnitudes reaching as high as 7.6, struck the country on New Year's Day. The actor, recognized for his notable role in SS Rajamouli's critically acclaimed film 'RRR,' was in Japan with his family for the past week. The seismic events unfolded during their stay, adding an unexpected element to their vacation. Jr NTR is celebrated as one of the highest-paid actors in the Telugu film industry, contributing to his widespread fame.


Jr NTR, the grandson of former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister NT Rama Rao Sr, shared his thoughts on January 2 after returning from Japan. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), he expressed deep shock over the earthquakes that hit Japan. Having spent the entire last week there, he conveyed heartfelt sympathy to everyone affected by the seismic events.


Jr NTR also expressed gratitude for the resilience of the people affected by the earthquakes in Japan and conveyed his hope for a swift recovery. His message encouraged strength and solidarity during this challenging time.


On January 1, a sequence of strong earthquakes hit western Japan, causing damage to buildings, vehicles, and boats. Official alerts were issued for potential additional earthquakes and tsunami in the area, although all tsunami warnings were lifted by early Tuesday. Kyodo news agency reported more than 13 fatalities. Aftershocks persisted in Japan today, with ongoing warnings indicating the possibility of more significant earthquakes in the coming days. The region remains on high alert as recovery efforts continue and residents brace for potential further seismic activity.


Jr NTR, along with his wife Lakshmi Pranathi and their two children Abhay and Bhargav, chose Japan as their destination for Christmas and New Year celebrations. However, in light of the earthquake situation in Japan, the family decided to cut short their vacation and boarded a return flight to India. Observers spotted them at Hyderabad airport, highlighting their prompt response to the challenging circumstances in Japan. The actor and his family's safe return underscores their prioritization of safety and sensitivity to the situation unfolding in the earthquake-affected region.


Telugu actor Jr NTR is set to collaborate with director Koratala Siva for his upcoming film "Devara," the first part of which is slated for a theatrical release on April 5, 2024. The makers of "Devara" revealed a new poster on January 1, promising to release the first glimpse of the film on January 8. The movie is produced under the banner of NTR Arts, with Nandamuri Kalyan Ram serving as a co-producer. Alongside Jr NTR, the cast features Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan in lead roles.


Additionally, Jr NTR is gearing up for a collaboration with Hrithik Roshan in the sequel to the blockbuster film "War," directed by Ayan Mukerji. This sequel will mark Jr NTR's entry into the YRF Spy Universe.
