Karnataka Educator Suspended : In a controversial incident in Karnataka, photos have surfaced showing a student and the headmistress engaging in inappropriate poses. The images capture the student kissing the headmistress on the cheeks and pulling her saree, while also lifting her in his arms.
Karnataka Teacher and Student in Photo Session: A 42-year-old headmistress from the Government High School in Murugamalla, Chintamani taluk, Chikkaballapur district, has been suspended for reportedly engaging in inappropriate behavior with a student on a recent school excursion, officials announced today, December 29. The suspension comes after a photo surfaced showing the headmistress involved in a romantic photoshoot with a student during the school trip, gaining widespread attention over the past two days.
In the circulated photos, the student and headmistress can be observed engaging in various inappropriate poses, including the student kissing her on the cheeks and tugging at her saree. There are also instances of the student lifting the teacher in his arms.
A video accompanying the photos depicts the headmistress hugging and displaying romantic behavior with the student. Following the widespread circulation of the video and photos on social media on Thursday (December 28), Chintamani District Education Officer Umadevi conducted an investigation at the school. She interviewed fellow teachers, students, and kitchen staff who had participated in the educational tour.
Umadevi disclosed that the school's students and staff had embarked on an educational tour to Horanadu, Dharmasthala, Yana, and other places from December 22 to 25, with the alleged incident occurring during this period.
She clarified, "The photos that went viral were taken by another student. Apart from the two students involved and the headmistress, no other staff or student was aware of the incident."
Based on the Block Education Officer's recommendation, P Bailanjanappa, District Deputy Director of the School Education Department, has issued an order suspending the headmistress from service pending a departmental inquiry.
