Marvel Games and Bethesda Softworks have joined forces to reveal that Arkane Lyon, the masterminds behind the critically acclaimed DEATHLOOP and Dishonored series, are crafting a brand-new mature, single-player, third-person game centered around the iconic comic book hero, Blade.

"To commemorate Blade's 50th anniversary, we've discovered the ideal partner for the Daywalker in Arkane Lyon, a studio of unwavering artists consistently pushing the boundaries of game design and innovation," remarked Bill Rosemann, VP and Creative Director of Marvel Games. "Beyond their award-winning talent, it's their personal passion and daring vision for our half-human, half-vampire iconoclast that makes this collaboration a perfect fit."

Arkane Lyon has recently initiated the development of the game, promising an original narrative infused with the studio's hallmark immersive gameplay and top-tier storytelling.

"As a kid of mixed origins, I felt a special connection to Blade – a hero with a dual heritage himself," shared Dinga Bakaba, Game Director at Arkane Lyon. "The opportunity to put our spin on this character is a dream of mine and a challenge that our team embraces with passion. We couldn't be happier to place players in Blade's boots, as he becomes the champion of my hometown of Paris, one stake at a time."

Marvel’s Blade game will transport players to a quarantined sector of Paris amid a supernatural crisis. Vampires have surfaced, instilling terror in the City of Lights and compelling Parisians to seek refuge inside their homes at night, awaiting sunrise.

"From his trench coat to his iconic sunglasses, Blade is a slick, stylish, and driven character," noted Sebastien Mitton, Co-Creative and Art Director at Arkane Lyon. "This project is the perfect opportunity to propel Arkane's art style into an even more modern and bold territory. The essence of our work lives at the junction of impactful ideas and innovative know-how."
