Prime Minister Modi States, 'Gujarat Emerges as a Significant Medical Hub in India'.
Prime Minister Modi Gujarat Medical Hub in India: Prime Minister Modi emphasized the progress made in Gujarat's healthcare sector, noting that the state has evolved into a notable medical center in India. He mentioned the presence of 40 medical colleges and a rise in the number of MBBS seats as indicators of this advancement.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the significant strides in Gujarat's healthcare sector, underscoring the state's current standing as a leading medical hub in India.
During the virtual foundation stone laying ceremony of Khodaldham Trust Cancer Hospital in Gujarat, Prime Minister Modi expressed, “For public welfare, Shree Khodaldham Trust has taken a step forward. From today, the work for Cancer Hospital and Research Centre will begin in Amreli."
He highlighted Gujarat's remarkable advancements in healthcare, emphasizing its emergence as a major medical hub in the country. "Till 2002, Gujarat had only 11 medical colleges; however, today, the number has risen to 40. In 20 years, the MBBS seats have gone up by five times," he further added.
Prime Minister Modi emphasized the government's commitment to providing seamless treatment for cancer patients. He mentioned that over the past nine years, approximately 30 new cancer hospitals have been established across the country, with ongoing efforts for the development of 10 more cancer hospitals.
Earlier today, Prime Minister Modi paid a visit to the Kothandaramaswamy Temple in Rameshwaram, Tamil Nadu, where he offered prayers. This visit took place ahead of the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony of Ram Lalla scheduled for tomorrow in Ayodhya.
During his visit, PM Modi also took part in a puja at the Kothandaramaswamy Temple.
In addition, the Prime Minister traveled to Arichal Munai in Dhanushkodi, Tamil Nadu, a site believed to be the location where the Ram Setu was constructed. While there, PM Modi was captured offering a floral tribute at the Arichal Munai point.
