Substantial Updates Unveiled for the Creta Facelift, Both Inside and Out

Leading up to the launch of the 2024 Hyundai Creta facelift on January 16, Hyundai Motor India has provided a glimpse of the updated SUV through design sketches. Bookings are now open, requiring a token amount of Rs 25,000.


The Creta facelift exhibits significant exterior enhancements, featuring a fresh parametric black chrome grille surrounded by quad-beam LED headlamps. The SUV boasts new LED horizon positioning lamps and LED DRLs, contributing to its commanding road presence with an upright hood layout.


Adding a sporty touch, the Creta facelift showcases new connected LED horizon taillamps, along with a redesigned tailgate and a new spoiler featuring an integrated LED stop lamp. The overall design is complemented by the introduction of new alloy wheels for an updated and appealing look.

Hyundai has brought significant changes to the interior of the Creta facelift. The dashboard is entirely revamped, featuring an integrated infotainment system and a digital cluster, both with 10.25-inch displays. The SUV offers new leatherette seats, door armrest covering, a flat-bottom steering wheel, gear shifter, and ambient lighting, all wrapped in leatherette.


In addition to these upgrades, the 2024 Hyundai Creta facelift is equipped with front ventilated seats, an eight-way power driver seat, surround view monitor, blind spot view monitor, a new dual-zone automatic temperature control system, a Bose premium sound system with eight speakers, and a panoramic sunroof. These enhancements aim to elevate the overall driving experience and comfort within the vehicle.

The Creta facelift boasts an impressive array of safety features, with over 70 in total. This includes 36 standard safety features like six airbags, all-wheel disc brakes, and electronic stability control. The top-spec variants go even further with Level 2 ADAS (Hyundai SmartSense) incorporating 19 advanced features. Connectivity is a highlight, with over 70 features available through Hyundai BlueLink. Additionally, there's an in-built JioSaavn app with a complimentary one-year subscription, supporting music streaming in 16 languages.


Under the hood, the 2024 Hyundai Creta facelift offers three engine options: a 1.5-litre MPi petrol engine generating 115PS and 144Nm, a 1.5-litre Kappa Turbo GDi petrol engine with 160PS and 253Nm, and a 1.5-litre U2 CRDi diesel engine. These engines can be paired with four transmission options: 6-speed manual, Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT), 7-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT), and 6-speed automatic.

You can match the 1.5-litre MPi petrol engine with either the 6-speed manual transmission or the Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT). If you opt for the 1.5-litre Kappa Turbo GDi petrol engine, it comes exclusively with the 7-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT). The 1.5-litre U2 CRDi diesel engine provides choices between the 6-speed manual transmission and the 6-speed automatic transmission.


The Creta facelift offers seven trims, namely E, EX, S, S(O), SX, SX Tech, and SX(O). With a total of 28 different combinations involving various trims, engines, and transmissions, the SUV caters to a diverse range of preferences and needs.

The anticipated price range for the 2024 Hyundai Creta is expected to fall between Rs 11 lakh and Rs 20 lakh. In the market, it will face competition from vehicles such as the Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, and the upcoming Tata Curvv.
