His political party members are set to participate in the 2026 elections. Additionally, the actor has been actively engaged in community outreach, meeting with Class 10 and 12 students, and providing assistance to those affected by the recent floods in Chennai.

In a comprehensive official statement, the actor emphasized the necessity of political influence to effectively carry out social work on a substantial scale.
In a message shared on his official account on platform X, the actor expressed concern about the political situation in Tamil Nadu. He highlighted issues like a dysfunctional administration, corruption, and divisive politics based on caste, creed, and religion. The actor emphasized the need for a change in the political scenario, stating that people in Tamil Nadu desire a selfless, honest, secular, and capable party to bring about positive transformations.
Vijay declared his candidacy for the 2026 state legislative assembly elections, aiming to contribute to the envisioned political transformation desired by the people of Tamil Nadu.
The statement elaborated, "Once the election ordinance is sanctioned, our party will reveal its policies, manifestos, strategies, and programs, marking the initiation of our political journey for the people of Tamil Nadu. We are dedicated to conducting all activities with due diligence, ensuring alignment with the party's mission and goals, with the prime focus on the interests of the people of Tamil Nadu.
