The design of the FZ X is influenced by Yamaha's well-known retro-inspired motorcycle, the XSR 155, which enjoys popularity worldwide. Its distinctive appearance includes a round headlamp with circular DRL (Daytime Running Lights) encircling it, a robust fuel tank, and a substantial seat featuring a ribbed pattern. In terms of features, it offers convenient amenities like a USB charging port, traction control, single-channel ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), and a side-stand engine cut-off switch.

The bike is powered by a 149cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine, generating 12.2bhp and 13.3Nm of torque, paired with a five-speed gearbox. It has a lightweight of 139kg (kerb weight) and a fuel tank capacity of 10 litres. In terms of components, the FZ X is equipped with 17-inch alloy wheels, supported by telescopic forks and a monoshock suspension system. Braking duties are managed by a single disc brake at both the front and rear ends.
